She graduated from Zhejiang Medical University (now Zhejiang University School of Medicine) in the 1980s, and obtained a doctorate in clinical cardiology from Shanghai Changzheng Hospital in the 1990s, mainly engaged in clinical medicine and scientific research. In the mid-1990s, she went to the United States and worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Internal Medicine of Harvard Medical School and the Institute of Cardiovascular Molecular Biology, New England Medical Center, Tufts University, and published many articles in Science, Nature Medicine and other journals.
Dr. Lv Ping has been engaged in social service activities for many years. In 2019, she won the Gold Award of the “Presidential Volunteer Service Award” in the United States, and won the Maryland “Governor’s Volunteer Award” in 2020 and other awards.
